Track update 8-18-9

Sorry guys. Just trying to get some more info before we get people's hopes up or down, depending on the outcomes, but things are going good so far. We have talked to the city and they just need some paperwork from us, which we are working on. We are still looking at the October meeting but there may be a chance we can get the September meeting. The September meeting is on the 17th. It is also my understanding we would have to wait 10 days after that hearing before we could open so...

While progress has been good we are still having to wait, and believe me it feels like an eternity already, but we are moving along and everything is looking good so far.

We appreciate all of the support and excitement about the facility still. It shows us that all of this work has not been for nothing.

Track Update

Hey everyone,

I just got off the phone with Danny and he wanted me to inform you guys that today he ordered $50,000 worth of merchandise for the Hobby Shop and it should come in the next week or two. With that said he also said he is willing to match any price found at a store or online.

Also, since one of the best features about our facility was the atmosphere he has decided to turn the right side of the hobby shop, when you walk in the front door, into a sort of lounge where visitors can come and hang out if they would like. We are going to have a couch or two and a plasma or two so we can keep that atmosphere going, tracks or not.

Drinks from the Snack bar will be on the house so if you are in the area and you are thirsty or just want to hang out for a while stop on by.

The Hobby Shop is going to be open from 3PM to 8PM Monday thru Friday. We are still working out the Weekend hours but we will let you know.

Also, we had a staff team meeting today and the theme was that this may actually be a blessing in disguise. How often does someone get to make a first impression twice? We were able to see all of the wrinkles we had in the systems and test them live with you guys and now that we are closed up for the time being we can work on those "trouble" spots and open back up better than ever. We have hired a new engineer and architect to assist us in pusing through the required paperwork to the city so we can get open ASAP.

One last thing. We are going to start preparing letters that you guys can send to the State Assemblyman and State Senator for the districts that La Mirada is in. If you would like to participate in mailing the representatives please send me a PM with the subject "Send me a letter" with your email address and once we are done I will send one to each of the people who requested one via email so we can get their help to push this hurdle through.

Thanks again for the outflowing of support it only makes this more of a personal mission than a business one for Danny now.

The Hobby Shop will remain open, however, so feel free to come on down and purchase whatever you may need to keep yourself running at any of the other local tracks, i.e LRH, Pegasus, Hot Rod, etc. We will back, better than ever, that is a promise! We anticipate being open by November 1st if everything works out ok with city.If you have any questions please feel free to contact us at mail@wcrcr.com See you back soon! West Coast Management
